The RP account for Nepeta Leijon in the group Land of Castles and Kings. [I'll edit the page layout when I'm feeling better >.<]
It had been along couple of days.
As the second in command rogue of Derse, Nepeta was often forced to do anything Roxy didn’t have time to do, couldn’t do, or just flat out refused to do. And with the news of the royal engagement, she had been forced to travel all around the…
At the sound of someone approaching her she turned. ”EQUIUS!” She squealed as she tackled him. The heir was much larger than her, but she still managed to make him stumble. ”I’ve been just great! The country is so beautiful right now, I didn’t wanna come back! But of course I came back fur you.”
When he mentioned the bag, she pulled it off of her shoulder to show to him. ”It’s just some stuff I found while I was out and about.” The bag was full of silly knickknacks and trinkets that she had picked up on her travel. Nepeta had a pretty bad habit of collecting anything she found interesting, and every time she left on a trip she added more junk to her collection.
“Well, a few meanies from around the borders aren’t too happy about the Prince and his engagement, but they won’t be doing anything about it! I still haven’t tracked down any of the purrtners of those guys you caught a while ago, but we’ll catch them eventually!”
A frown settled on her face as she watched her Moirail. ”Equius, are you alright?”
Equius quickly lost his tension as he stood there. A small, relaxed grin appeared on his face. At least nothing had gone awry on her trip. That was good. “I hope we do catch them. I think it goes without saying that they’re dangerous enough. And good job! At least we know now that we won’t be attacked.” He gave a rather deep, calm sigh and said, “Yes, I think I’m fine. I’ve just had a… stressful couple of days is all.”
The rogue beamed at her Moirail. When he congratulated her, she knew she did something very right. ”There’s another lead or two, but I wanted to come back and make sure the wedding was going along as planned. One of the other rogues is looking into it now.”
Well, that didn’t explain all that much. Nepeta cocked her head to the side and looked at him. It wasn’t odd for him to have a stressful few days while she was away on missions, but something seemed different. ”What happened? Is everything pawlright?”
“Well, just… just something with one of the maids. It’s nothing. I’m perfectly pawl- I mean alright.” He gave a small grin at his slip up. Whenever he talked to Nepeta, he had a tendency to use her silly puns in his own speech. It used to annoy him, but he had grown used and even slightly fond of it. It always lightened him up somewhat, even if he didn’t show it.
“Perhaps it’s something we can talk about later. I see no point discussing personal matters out here in the corridors. In the mean time, I think it’s fitting we catch up a bit. Did anything eventful happen on your trip?”
Despite the little slip up he had, which would normally send Nepeta into a giggle fit, a frown was stuck on her face. She didn’t know many of the maids, but it bothered her slightly that one of them could affect her Moirail in such a way. She really, really wanted to bother him about it, but she knew that he was stubborn and wouldn’t talk about it unless he really wanted to.
“Well, there was a festival that I spent a bit of time at when I was near the border to Prospit. There was a bard there who was really furnny! He was good at juggling, but he kept loosing his balance and falling.” That had definitely been the highlight of the trip. The rest had mostly been stalking around and listening in on things.
Equius retained his small grin, and gave a small laugh at the thought. He thought that would’ve actually been rather funny to see. Heck, he hadn’t seen a good bard in a while, so if he’d seen that one, he might’ve absolutely CHOKED himself trying not to laugh. He would’ve probably just smiled at the bard though. No need to make himself look ridiculous.
Him and Nepeta walked down the halls and chatted. “Did anything else interesting happen? What kind of trinkets did you get? I’m curious to hear about your trip.” They walked down the halls, and past the door leading to the stables. Equius tried to move mildly quickly, then.
The thought of the maid was still in the back of her mind, though she let it go long enough to think back on her trip. ”Well, I spent most of the time just listening in on conversations and stealing letters. It was pawsitively boring! Nothing was secure or even hidden! It wasn’t challenging at aaallll!” She held out the L a little bit longer to show her exasperation. ”The only people who even said anything against the wedding were angry old me who hate everything. Roxy should be glad I took this assignment for her!”
At the mention of the trinkets, her face lit up. ”Oh, I got a lot of stuff! I found this purrty jade tea pot, but I sent that back to my room so nothing would happen to it. I also got this…” She reached into the bag behind her and pulled out a music box. The box was made of dark walnut wood and had golden inlay decorating the edges.
